A Barn Turned Social Hall

The Coliseum, also known as the Pavilion or Rental Hall, began as one of the barns on the property. In 1921, while Stephen was away aboard ship, David moved the barn closer to Main Street and converted it into a building with a nautical feeling, including porthole-like windows, directional signs, a large ship’s wheel, and a dance floor. It was used for parties, dinners, church fundraisers, and community gatherings, became a focus of the brothers’ social life and fundraising efforts, and continues to serve public events today.
