Zookeepers Cottage Contest Winner!

The Friends of Boothe Park held a “guess the number of animals” Contest to celebrate the permanent display of The Zookeepers Cottage. The cottage was designed, built, and donated by Dawn Schneider and Marc Kuczo and is “home” to dozens and dozens of miniature animals. We asked visiting children to guess to the total number of animals situated in the cottage.

In the photo below is our winner, Kaleb Rey, who had the closest number. Kaleb visited Boothe along with his parents Karen and Norberto Rey and brother Kylo. Kaleb won a $25 Target gift card and a family pass to The Beardsley Zoo. We hope that they enjoyed Opening Day and will also enjoy their visit to the zoo!

Shakespeare in the Park this Summer

The Hudson Shakespeare Company has joined with the Friends of Boothe to stage and perform the Shakespearean play, “The Merry Wives of Windsor”. This play is filled with sarcasm, irony, and innuendos – sure to give the audience a smile.

It is being planned for six nights during the last two weekends of July. (Fridays – Sundays) July 18th – 20th and July 25th – 27th. The play will be staged in the Sunken Garden next to the Rose Garden, where previous Shakespeare plays have been performed. Don’t miss this beautiful outdoor setting.

Information about times and tickets will be set soon. Please visit our website as we get closer to the events for more information. https://boothememorialpark.com/
